A wonderful Captain's Day at Woburn Golf Club

Sunday, 6th September 2026 was a very special day at Woburn Golf Club, as Fiona Copeland and friends joined Captain Nick Wilson to celebrate his Captain's Day.  Nick, a long standing colleague of Fiona's, welcomed 170 players for a memorable day of golf, friendship and fundraising in support of the Ciliopathy Alliance.

The occasion was full of thoughtful touches, including homemade sausage rolls prepared and shared throught the day, which proved a much appreciated treat for players and supporters alike.

With Nick being a lifelong Sheffield United supporter, Fiona, her friends and the ladies' committee marked the celebration in style by wearing football shirts in his honour.  Their efforts brought colour, humour and energy to the day, helping to create a warm and joyfeul atmosphere across the club.

Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of everyone involved, more than £15,000 was raised for the Ciliopathy Alliance. The charity is extremely grateful for this outstanding support and for all those that helped make the day such a success.
